Tax preparation and bookkeeping for Sugar Land households and businesses
Sugar Land is full of professionals, dual-income households and owners of clinics, restaurants, shops and consulting firms. For them the return is rarely the hard part — it is keeping the books clean all year, running payroll, and knowing when a growing LLC should change how it is taxed. Our office is a short drive up I-69 and Beltway 8, and everything can also be done virtually.

Where Sugar Land clients usually need help
When an LLC should look at S-corp status
Electing S-corp treatment (Form 2553) can lower self-employment tax once profits are high enough, but it means paying yourself a reasonable salary through payroll and filing a Form 1120-S every year. We run the numbers with your real figures before you decide.
Business ServicesBooks that are ready before tax season
Monthly categorization and bank reconciliation mean your business return starts from numbers you already trust, instead of a shoebox of receipts in March.
Bookkeeping & PayrollMoved to Sugar Land from another state
Texas has no state income tax, but the state you left may still expect a part-year resident return for the months you lived there. We prepare both the federal and the other state’s return.

Questions from Sugar Land clients
How far is your office from Sugar Land?
About 14 miles. Take I-69/US-59 northeast to Beltway 8 and go north to 1250 W Sam Houston Pkwy S, Suite 417. We also work with Sugar Land clients entirely online.
Should my LLC become an S corporation?
It depends on your profit, what a reasonable salary for your role would be, and the added cost of payroll and a separate business return. We compare what you would pay under each option using your actual numbers, and file the election if it makes sense.
I moved to Texas this year. Do I still file in my old state?
Usually yes, for the part of the year you lived or earned income there. Texas has no personal income tax, so after the move your return is generally federal only. We prepare the part-year return for the other state along with your federal return.
Do you do monthly bookkeeping for Sugar Land businesses?
Yes. We categorize transactions, reconcile your bank and card accounts each month and keep financial statements ready for filing. We can run payroll, quarterly payroll reports and year-end W-2s and 1099s as well.
